The project involves the conversion of a number of buildings used in the past as summer camp and as home for agricultural settlers, in the property Artigianelli of Susà in a new cooperative building of 42 housing units. The project foresees the maintenance of the main volumes of the former colony and the house Masadori to which are added new volumes to define a court plant upstream and rearrange the composition of volumes downstream. The choice of a compact settlement solution is determined by the desire to preserve the surrounding soil from a building dispersed so as to ensure a close relationship between the new building and the surrounding wood. The two main volumes that are spread over four levels house various types of apartments and buildings in line lower scale consist of terraced houses on two levels with private garden. Under the court which is defined by the upper buildings is planned the construction of an underground garage; downstream it is expected to surround the park between walls with overlying vegetation pergola. The existing octagonal belvedere will be maintained and used for common areas for new housing association.
