The project for the redevelopment of Piazza S. Maria concerns the reorganization of the existing space defined by the buildings of the Santa Maria church, of the S.Carlo church, of St. Anthony church and the rectory building, which was the cemetery site until the late 18th century. The project foresees the elimination of the existing flowerbeds that prevent the use and perception of this space as a square. It is therefore provided for the continuation of the existing pavement in porphyry cobblestones up to the limit of the buildings with the realization of circular stone seats in correspondence with the existing lime trees.
