The refurbishment and upgrading of the waterworks of Rava involved the consortium of the Rava Aqueduct founded in 1948 that currently serves seven municipalities of the lower part of Valsugana Valley. The catchment area of the springs belongs to the basin of the River Brenta, in the heart of Lagorai, characterized by a central mountain range, formed mainly of granite, whose highest point corresponds to Cima d'Asta. (2,848 m.). The project, divided into intervention batches involved the overall modernization of existing infrastructure by replacing the steel pipes and lead pipes with ductile cast iron fraying pipes, the elimination of interruption basins, the creation of new intake networks, the renovation and new construction of storage tanks and the construction of new distribution networks. It was also planned the construction of a new 220kW hydroelectric power plant along the drinking water pipe.
